Where to Play Spectra
Spectra Mobile Slot Review
Ever so often, we are given games that are bloated in specials, overwhelming graphics and many bells and whistles to try and attract the audience. Spectra takes the opposite route, keeping things nice and simple. With 5 reels and 30 paylines, and available on all platforms, the glowing lights and fun Wilds of Thunderkick’s release will leave you wanting more.
It honestly feels like playing on a virtual slot machine, with the transparent reel, making it seem like the lights from the back are projecting the screen in front of you. You will find standard, boring symbols such as circles, triangles, squares, four leaf clovers, bells, sevens and bars.
The focus on specials in Spectra is solely on Wilds, as there are no other bonus icons in the game. Wilds are shaped in a rainbow coloured W, and are quite visually distinct, so seeing them on the playing field is always a welcome sight.
How to play Spectra
Thunderkick keeps the same user interface across all of their slots, and Spectra is no exception. We certainly do not complain. It fits all screens regardless of size, and truly feels responsive. While we can list some minor annoyances, such as the game rules and symbols being separate, there is little to complain about.
The thirty paylines are fixed, but the slot gives you options to pick from in regards to how much you want to spend. You can choose between $0.10 up to $100. The low entry fee will make Thunderkick’s release interesting to low rollers, while the potential for large wins with Wilds will encourage profit orientated players to keep spinning the reels.
Wilds, apart from being able to replace any other icon on the playing field, also have additional goodies added onto them. Wilds will award a respin when they appear, and if more than one in a row is found, they will nudge up or down, awarding another respin and an even greater chance for a satisfying win.
Jackpots and Progressives
Spectra is not a progressive slot, but there is large winning potential in Wilds and their potential to keep triggering bonus rounds over and over again. The base game does not have any large wins by itself, and most can be glossed over.
This may not be appealing to everyone, and it is understandable. Even getting 5 Wilds in a row will only give you x20 your total stake, and it is only through chaining free spins that you are able to achieve any meaningful progress.
Bonus Games and Signups
As already mentioned above, the only way to activate bonus games is through Wild icons, which trigger respins. Unfortunately, Thunderkick’s release lacks any other ways to entice the slot, which is a shame. There is definite potential here, and while we would love to see more, it simply feels like too much is missing from Spectra for it to be a complete experience right now.
