So Much Sushi Mobile Slot Review
You better hope you aren’t allergic to seafood, because this Microgaming slot is full of it! So Much Sushi is a 5×3 reel 25-payline game that exists as part of a So Much So Many series that were all released around the same time. If you love sushi, this will probably be great for you, but if it isn’t your favourite, don’t you worry, as the developers built the same slot for monster and candy enthusiasts as well that you can try out.
Be ready for all sorts of different flavours of fish when playing this one. The background is a bit tamer than So Many Monsters, with a dark brown colour, perhaps meant to resemble a cutting board where sushi is prepared? Either way, said delicious treats share the spotlight with poker card symbols, which we aren’t a fan of.
Scatters come in the shape of a soy sauce bottle, and offer the player a chance to score one of the different free spins bonuses. You can choose between a different amount of free spins and jackpots by picking one of the sushi treats, and you also get a small Scatter win on top of that.
Wilds, meanwhile, will do their thing as always. They can replace other symbols except for Scatters, and they offer a decent cash prize if you can score more than three at once. They use the logo of the slot to represent Wilds, which isn’t bad by itself, but feels uninspired.
How to Play So Much Sushi
Maybe that’s a good way to describe So Much Sushi. While it opens with a very good idea, splitting higher paying symbols into more pieces that can reach higher and higher wins, it feels a bit spoiled that the same concept was more or less copy and pasted across three different games with next to no adjustments. When looking through that lens, some of the charm is lost.
You would play it just as you would So Many Monsters, which we already reviewed. You wager between $0.25 up to $100 across 25 fixed paylines, and you hope that you score wins with higher paying symbols instead of poker card icons, as the lower paying bracket barely awards enough money to even out your bet.
Jackpots & Progressives
There is no progressive jackpot in this slot. The Microgaming release instead focuses all the wins with splitting icons and special features. This isn’t inherently a bad thing if the odds didn’t feel so stacked against you. Normal gameplay wins mean next to nothing unless you scored at least ten or more sushi symbols, with the largest win being only a 640x increase. For a 25 of a kind win, that feels shockingly low.
To balance it out, you need to score some special feature wins, but like with So Many Monsters, Scatters and Wilds can feel rare and the lure of the largest jackpot is strong, but should be resisted in favour of more spins. We also scored some decent Wild wins that connected some sushi plates, which also brings a few points for this game.

You will need three or more Scatters present on the playing field to trigger the free spins. You are given a choice between five different sushi dishes, and each dish offers a certain amount of free spins and the highest potential jackpot you could win out of it. These wins are added up to the Scatter win you get at the start, and once you have finished spinning, the bonus ends and your money is awarded. And like in the previous title, it pays off more to pick more spins over higher jackpot.
