The Rabcat’s title developed for Microgaming-powered casinos exclusively focuses on the visual spectacle more than it does on specific symbols or animations. The developer purposefully made the reels transparent to let players drink in the view when they first launch Crystal Rift. The lonely insides of an asteroid, with lights of nearby Suns illuminating the insides, with dust floating around, and distant stars twinkling, as if to call you towards them. The symbols themselves are not eye-catching, but we do love the animation of them blowing up, and the beam of energy that courses through the winning icons, highlighting them before a win is awarded. Even the user interface is given the sci-fi treatment, made to look like a slightly malfunctioning holographic screen. Everything is easy to find, just with a touch of static for that extra flair.
Symbols include various types of valuable space-rock. Different gemstones and pricy metals lie embedded in the dull blue meteor, so plucking them clean and selling to the highest bidder makes for a lucrative business. A pristine, silver cube is Wild and can substitute for all other symbols on the playing field.
The slot has medium volatility and focuses entirely on the cascading reels and Wild Grid combo. No other special features are available in the game, and it never feels like they are needed, either.
