Where to Play Attack of the Zombies
Attack of the Zombies Mobile Slot Review
Released in October 2016, Attack of the Zombies was just in time for the spooky holiday of Halloween. With a graveyard lurking in the backdrop, zombies shambling all over the place, you must guide your heroes to safety, and hopefully haul off some good loot while you’re at it. This 5 reel, 50 payline mobile slot is available on both iOS and Android devices, and is set in place in London, England. The lure of what you may find is strong, but be careful that in your rush for riches you don’t let your heroines get bitten, or else you will have to find them a cure.
There are two categories of symbols you can find. The undead fiends, looking colourful and varied enough that you’d think these zombies wandered over from Las Vegas. Their value varies between them, with the crowned ones being worth most. The second tier is composed of our four heroines, which all pay the same, and are the highest paying icon in the game.
And what kind of slot would this be if there were no interesting special symbols lurking around? Scatters have their own little cash bonus, and can pay in any position, and three or more will trigger the extra feature. On top of that, we have Wilds, which are shaped like brains, and pay the most out of any icon on the reels. As a cherry on top, they can substitute for any other symbol except Scatters.
How to play Attack of the Zombies
Genesis Gaming decided to make this in HTML5, and it shows spectacularly. The gameplay flows smoothly, and the user interface is well adjusted for a smaller screen that’s navigated by touch. The backdrop is even somewhat more clearly visible than in the desktop version, which is a nice change of pace.
The user interface allows you to shift around the bet value and the amount of active paylines, activate a Quick Spin option, and turn the music on and off. Playable for as little as $0.01 up to $500, this gives you plenty of variety, which will appeal to casual players and high rollers alike.
We had a slight annoyance with the fact that there are 50 bet levels, but no quick way to shuffle through them. This is a major oversight and a huge annoyance, so we suggest leaving it be and just fiddling with the wager itself.
Jackpots and Progressives
Attack of the Zombies is not a progressive game, which seems fair when the amazing free spins bonus this slot has is accounted for. The mechanics of it can cut it really early, or it can keep going for a long time, and if it takes a while to make an effect, it can give you lots of free spins where you spend nothing and earn plenty.
Wilds also play a huge chunk in the slot not accounting for specials. Five of them are the highest paying symbol in the game, and they often help complete things into a sizeable, satisfying win.
Bonus Games and Signups
Three or more Scatters will trigger the bonus game in Genesis Gaming’s Halloween release. Your survivors will turn into zombies themselves, and you have to scramble and find the antidote that will cure them back to normal. Antidotes only appear on reel 3, and can heal one symbol at a time.
The healed symbols get their old looks back before they became mindless undead, and on top of that, serve as Wilds for the duration of the free spins. The special feature ends when all four of your heroes are cured, which depends on how lucky or unlucky you are with the antidote.
