Inspired by the popular comic book and the movie, NextGen released 300 Shields mobile slot in May 2014. As expected, the game is bloody and masculine, no curved shapes or letters, every edge is sharp and pointed. This 3D video slot is set on a moving backdrop, with fields full of grain and a Greek Temple. The symbols look brutal and represent warriors and means of warfare.
The game is played at standard 25 paylines, with one interesting Battle Feature. The main game is not very intriguing, only 3D symbols appearing keep us from falling asleep. The feature game is called Battle Feature and it will bring you more excitement.
Although NextGen has stayed within the limits of the genre, we were expecting a little bit more. Graphics are decent, don’t get us wrong, but it could be much better. If NextGen wanted to attract the army of ‘300’ movie admirers, they should have tried to get closer to the visual standards set in the movie.
How to Play 300 Shields
As that is usually the case in NextGen’s slots, you can only tap on either the spin arrow or the Settings icon. In Settings you can select the number of paylines: 1, 3, 5, 10, 15, 20 or 25. Coin size can be chosen in the range from 0.01 to 0.2. If you prefer Autoplay option, you can select up to 50 autospins.
You won’t experience any difficulties while playing 300 Shields on the go. The game loads quickly and graphics works impeccably, no download required. It is available on all iOS and Android devices.
All symbols pay left to right, except Scatter Shield, with Warrior as the most awarding. Warrior is, at the same time, the Wild symbol and substitutes for all other symbol except Scatter. If it appears on a winning payline, you will see Warrior popping out of the icon and waving his sword.
Three or more scattered Shields anywhere on the reels will trigger the Battle Feature.
Jackpots & Progressives
The highest possible payoff during normal game is achieved when 5 matching Warriors appear on an active payline. That won’t happen often, but if it happens you will multiply by 1,000 the amount staked per payline. Theoretical Jackpot in 300 Shields is 300,000 and it is possible during Battle Feature only. One more theoretical number – Return to Player is 95.299%.
Bonus Games & Sign-ups
Battle Feature is triggered if you get three Shields on the reels. You will automatically enter an exciting Free Games adventure. There are four possible stages within this feature and the payoffs will gradually increase as you go through them. At the beginning of the feature you have 5 free games during which all Warriors wins are doubled. Not much, but if you collect two or more Shields you will get a second series of 5 Free Games with Warrior wins multiplied by 5. The third series of 5 Free Games starts if you collect 6 Shields and Warrior wins are multiplied by 25. The final, fourth series can bring you an immense multiplier of 300 times for every Warrior win, but it can be activated only if twelve or more Shields are collected.
