Vegas Nights Mobile Slot Review
It’s no surprise to find Vegas being one of the most popular things online slots centre themselves around. The gambling capital of the world has no doubt captured the imaginations of many thanks to TV shows and movies, and the fact so many popular slots first appeared as physical machines in those places make it a sort of gambling Mecca. Vegas Nights is a 5-reel, 25-payline game made by Pragmatic Play, and on paper, it looks similar to what you would expect an average title from the developer to look like. Wilds and Scatters, a free spins feature with a slight twist to it and a disappointing paytable that could use some more work.
Of course, we were a bit surprised to see Vegas Nights show off as somewhat higher volatility than usual. That sort of thing isn’t exactly Pragmatic Play’s style, but we were curious to see how it panned out. A few hundred spins later, we can say that it does reach higher than most of the slots by the same developer, but we wouldn’t quite rush to put it above medium variance, as the paytable really doesn’t give enough options for that to be viable.
Scatters can only appear on the second, third and fourth reel. Apart from a small cash prize, getting all three at once means you win a free spins bonus, in which you get five extra turns without paying a dime. While this is going on, your Wilds and golden Wilds have a random 2x or 3x multiplier, and all wins are multiplied by all the multipliers, which theoretically means you can reach pretty high up, and the fact you can keep retriggering the free spins means that the potential to soar is unlimited. In reality though, while it can produce some awesome wins, it’s nothing life changing, and fails to really push Vegas Nights into the high volatility market it hopes to break into.
How to Play Vegas Nights
The glitz, the glamour, the chips, the cards, the pretty dancers! It’s Las Vegas in all its glittery glory, all from the comfort of your phone screen. Not quite the real thing, but it’s nice to pretend when we can. While the visuals were okay, we really enjoyed the music, as it did a lot more to put us in that Vegas mood than the visuals themselves did.
Gameplay wise, it’s all about Scatters and the Extra Wild bonus, which follows Pragmatic’s trend to get all those juicy wins get locked behind special features. We don’t find this bad, as it seems obvious enough the developer has a loyal fanbase that enjoys their titles, and they keep making what their followers enjoy. For us, they’re a bit too much by the books, but they’re always fun to go back to if you want something you can pick up and play and not spend twenty minutes just reading all the info.
Jackpots & Progressives
How is it Vegas without a progressive jackpot? We can somehow find it in our hearts to forgive Pragmatic Play for this heinous mistake, but only because it’s so damn fun to play this title. The slot itself doesn’t offer much when it comes to getting wins, as multipliers are locked behind bonuses, but it can give a decent win or two outside of special features.
And once you get free spins and Wild re-spins involved, it gets a lot more interesting. Wins usually jump into the 40x to 60x range, which is about as high as it ever got for us in Vegas Nights.
